Some members of management are antiquated in thought; one sided problem solving. Clinical staff not compensated appropriately. High turn over rate in clinical setting. Difficult environment to impart change. If you care about helping people it may be difficult; saving money is the hospitals main goal.

Coding Manager is overly micromanaging, creates a hostile work environment, and has poor management skills. Manager has a lack of trust in coders and only allows coders to communicate through email with her CC’d on every email to monitor what we are doing. Coder training is conducted with a coding auditor over zoom with coding manager on the phone in the background monitoring everything that is said. Good employees are leaving.
