Location and good clinical peers. There is a new CEO and that may help with leadership.

Cons

Management has historically lacked direction and makes "shoot from the hip" decisions, still in transition, poor communication and support of line staff. Much upheaval.

Well, if you live in the area, they occasionally have jobs

Cons

Everybody is either a relative or married to somebody else who works there. People get their kids jobs and people stay there for decades sucking off the taxpayers...without providing any benefit.

Benefits package, lived in beautiful south Lake Tahoe, gained legal experience

Cons

Favoritism, Constant fear of job loss due to decreased funding, cuts made to administrative support staff while managers were promoted, decisions about the care of foster children made driven by cost, did not adequately meet needs of clients or staff in daily operation and court ordered services
