Untrained managers with big titles

Pros

it's a paycheck, although a small one. Good work life balance.

Cons

There are lots of big titles on people with too little experience. Not focused on people. Not progressive. This is a company that has been around a long time and is still not top notch. That says a lot about the leadership. Not a strong work ethic among some of the leadership. My boss leaves for hours at a time every day. No integrity as a professional. Medical plans require very high deductibles before they will even pay for a prescription. Some medicines are not covered at all.

Pros

The company offers cake to their employees on the first day of each month to celebrate birthdays. The cake is awful but I guess it's the thought that counts. :)

Cons

The employees are needlessly stressed out because management is lost. Every outage is run as if it's their first with incompetent management lined up behind those that can possibly fix the issue thinking that their presence will resolve issues faster. None proactive. Total disconnect with their head office in Knoxville.

Senior leadership inconsistent in behavior due to politically charged environment and personal agendas. People offen treated like dirt - environment rewards results at any cost - typically leaving "bodies" along the way.
