Pros

I had the opportunity to work alongside talented, collaborative teammates who genuinely cared about their work and the people they worked with. The projects I contributed to had real impact across the company, and there was a strong culture of investing in design systems and accessibility. My direct managers were supportive, valued professional growth, and gave me room to bring ideas forward.

Cons

The return-to-office mandate felt premature, especially given how much progress and collaboration we achieved while working remotely. Our results demonstrated that strong performance and teamwork are possible without being in the same physical location, and it would be valuable to consider flexibility that reflects those successes.

Pros

The compensation is good for the industry. Lots of useful benefits and perks. Company overall has steered clear of all the crypto/web3 jank when that happened, and isn't trying to inject AI into everything and everyone's work for the sake of it.

Cons

The executive leadership at the company show a stunning lack of humanity. Closing studios and performing mass layoffs are bad enough. But I've noticed that there's a tangible feeling that the effort and creativity of the developers actually making games is not respected, at a fundamental level. I've worked for other studios all with their own share of problems that are widespread throughout the industry, but none have felt as corporate, alienating, or inhumane as EA, unfortunately.
