Great people, interesting projects!

Pros

The people at Element 84 are wonderful - they really care about investing in each other and improving the world. I started in a Junior position and received a lot of support and training. The work-life balance was great - E84 was very flexible, within reason, and I felt that I had a lot of control over what and how I worked.

Cons

I don't see this as a con, but I think it's worth mentioning that a lot of positions are remote and that kind of style doesn't work for some people. E84 does a lot to mitigate those difficulties with off-sites, regular manager meetings, etc.

Pros

Outstanding culture, responsive management and a focus on doing meaningful work. Personal learning and professional growth is highly encouraged.

Cons

Non worth calling out. Projects are mostly in geospatial industry so hard to get exposure outside of that industry.

Pros

The company offers mentorship from the start. They invest in each other. They care about your growth as a person and within the company. They allow your skills to shine and give the opportunity to find the best fit for those skills. They focus on work that helps the world. With biweekly company meetings, there's a lot of transparency into the internal health of the company. There's frequent free food, daily free snacks and soft drinks, regular birthday treats, and an annual retreat. The company cares about its culture, and so you can be sure that the people who make it through the hiring process will fit in with that culture.

Cons

As is probably common with most agencies, the quality of your project varies by the client. The Element 84 teams are usually strong, but when they don't have as much control over project decisions, things might get frustrating. Diversity has been an issue, but they're trying.
