Pros

1) Many of my coworkers were supportive. 2) I really enjoyed the work that I did and I felt I had an awesome impact on our data products that I helped to create. 3) I enjoyed interacting with my business customers and gained a lot of satisfaction out of satisfying their requirements and receiving their accolades. 4) I enjoyed volunteering and helping the company to bolster its image, especially amidst unforgiving press. 5) I got a lot out of volunteering at hospitals and helping members and providers in the eco-system. 6) I learned a lot from some of my leads/mentors.

Cons

I wish that I had never joined this company. It was a nightmare. 1) Chauvinism. 2) Managers abuse power and often employ favoritism. (mini-fiefdoms) 3) Incompetent leads use obscurantism to present a facade of knowledge. 4) Total absence of innovation. 5) Archaic processes and training. 6) Talented employees are bullied out of existence. 7) Culture of silencing, belittling, and social triangulation. 9) HR is completely, totally, and utterly useless if case involves management. 10) Total absence of growth opportunities. 11) 'Associates' are basically considered livestock by managers. Even the word 'associate' really gets at the inferior nature of the position relative to managers at the company. -Over three years, 4/4 women (including me) left my team of 12. -I was screamed at by my leads in subjective and chauvinistic ways. -All positive feedback my customers or coworkers gave me in my anonymous requests for feedback was apparently completely ignored by my manager. -Instead, my manager decided to isolate me and asked me to stop collaborating with customers and even coworkers in some cases. -I was given a written warning immediately after (within 24 hours of) informing my manager that I was pregnant. -I had an stress-induced miscarriage within three days of receiving that written notice and I personally blame my previous manager directly. -I was formally told to focus on incorporating my leads' feedback. After doing so for months, I was then told that I was not independent enough and fired without notice. -I told HR specifically about what was going on and they did absolutely nothing. -Middle managers at this company form cliques and create micro-fiefdoms. They are 'friends' and hold hegemonic power at this pampered company.
