Pros

Anthem has a great corporate culture and benefits package. One usually works from home. The technology is sophisticated, yet easy to set up and manage.

Cons

Things change so fast; sometimes the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing.

Great people doing the work. Committed employees that will work hard to complete the mission in spite of horrible leadership.

Cons

Leadership below the CIO is lacking. There are several senior leaders that simply survive and play the game. They move with the wind and operate from a place of fear of getting laid off instead of setting vision and moving forward. The change in direction every year simply shows that they do not know how to fix the issues. Consolidating IT into 4 locations is simply a cost reduction exercise. The goal is to reduce cost and get the sheep to follow Agile processes to make the staff cheap and replaceable.
