Pros

I am here simply because the pay is great though for what I go through I need more.

Cons

I have been a dedicated employee of this organization for several years, during which time I have consistently put in my best effort to contribute to the company's success, specifically CUS > service operations. I have volunteered to assist in department projects, worked overtime hours assisting in other department backlogs and consistently strived to exceed expectations and with that earned accelerated progressions by meeting those very expectations. I have always believed in the values of hard work and commitment, which I thought were appreciated and acknowledged in our workplace. Over 6 years I have consistently worked hard and been dedicated, yet despite this, I have been passed over for multiple internal opportunities, and my request for feedback have not received a response. I have expressed to management several times that staying stationary in my current function is impeding my ability to advance, but my requests to fulfill other functions in my role have been met with silence. I've observed how employees in my department with less seniority, expertise, and experience be promoted and managers turn a blind eye when questioned. I truly wish they would shine a light on the National OOS Large group teams those managers in Indiana need to be replaced. The OE’s and so called SMe’s. All of them. There was a time when this company earned the recognition of being one of the best places to work. Today’s Elevance Health is horrible. Career advancement has been limited. Management is atrocious. The agents they are employing is reckless in a sense they do not care about the members. And the CLAIMS area I don’t know if they are off shore or what but they don’t even know how to formulate sentences. This company has lost sense of all of their core values. I would not recommend today. And NO I will not submit a request to ART. Why? Because I need my job. These bills be billing

Pros

LOL! You've got to be kidding, right?

Cons

Let’s start with the micromanaging. I had a supervisor ding me because I came back from my lunch 23 seconds late. The same manager asked me if I was all right because my mouse had not moved for five minutes. My main supervisor is completely passive aggressive and just an overall nasty person. She specializes in gaslighting. During our team meeting last week, the question was asked, what should we do if we have to go to the restroom between breaks and lunches. This woman had the audacity to say that we should shave time off of our 15 minute break and bank the difference for bathroom usage. Management constantly reminds you that they can monitor your computer virtually, and listen to your calls. Management thrives on fear and intimidation tactics, to drive results. This company has more red flags than an ex-boyfriend. I didn't even last 90 days, it was that bad.

Pros

Possibly Benefits although they aren't competitive among other Health insurance companies

Cons

In Connecticut, Anthem BCBS CT's local plan seriously is one of the most racially out of touch workplaces probably in America. In my experience at Anthem BCBS CT local plan, anyone who wasn't white but happened to be in a leadership position was almost without exception marginalized and discriminated against(not too worry, any local leader of color or non white nationality already left). Aside from the fake gestures of tolerance, the environment in general was hostile to anyone who didn't follow the distinct and deeply embedded racial heirachy that exists there . The white leadership at the local plan had a very public falling out with some of the black leaders there which only emboldened many of the white leadership syncophantic subordinates to act more racially intolerant. In general, if you're white you were treated like family and were part of a buddy system and if you weren't , you were always a target of any backhanded petty criticisms/microagressions. In short Anthem BCBS CT is a shameful hotbed of white privilege run amuck.
