Pros

No pros that I can think of

Cons

Terrible onboarding with no consistency in how they bring in new employees. Their HR department is confused about how to do their own job and is not easy to communicate with. No set standards for how they do things. Everything feels like it's being made up as they go

Pros

I don't see anything positive about working for MSPs and R4 maintains this view. The only pros I see are those provided by ANY employer, a paycheck.

Cons

No negotiation of employment package when being outsourced to R4. No pay increases after a year or making them look good for their customer. No COLA. Use it or lose it policy for time earned and allowed for time off. R4 took over IT teams at Renown Health over a year ago. Top management came out last month to polish the apple but couldn't be bothered to meet the members of our team. The rarely-seen director still hasn't properly introduced himself to the team.. I recently asked different people with R4 different questions about time off, aging work, stated income on a W2, etc. and still haven't gotten answers. Have to pull teeth to get issues resolved.

Firstly, we apologize if there has been any misunderstanding regarding the negotiation of employment packages when transitioning to R4. As a managed service provider (MSP), our approach to employment packages does not differ from traditional. We assure you that we strive to provide fair and competitive compensation and benefits to all our employees. Regarding pay increases and cost-of-living adjustments (COLA), we acknowledge that these are important considerations for employees. We do offer annual pay increases or COLA adjustments in the same manner as other organizations and continuously evaluate our compensation structures to ensure they remain equitable and reflective of market standards. We also recognize your concerns about time off policies and communication with our team. We apologize for any inconvenience or frustration you may have experienced. We are committed to improving our communication channels and ensuring that employees receive timely and accurate responses to their inquiries. Pros

You get a paycheck that is on time.

Cons

You do not know if your paycheck will be accurate HR is slow to respond, if they ever respond The management tends to micromanage staff They claim to be supportive of people going to better positions or promotions, but when opportunities appear, they have proven to prefer to hire from outside R4 Benefits are health, vision, dental insurance only for former client employees , and none offered at all for new hires R4 is about cutting costs, at the expense of quality work.
