Lots of pressure to meet deadlines adds to the stress level. You are expected to work OT to meet the deadlines

Pros

The valley is beautiful, mine site also offers spectacular views. Great work/life balance with Earned Day Off (5X2) staff; team dynamics is awesome; great support for newbies; and Leadership in my mine are receptive to new ideas and perspectives.

Cons

Housing in the valley is tough to find, if you intend to move with your family; winters can be brutal if you decide to commute

Nearest city is Calgary which is 3 hr drive
