Pros

Small company means almost everyone knows your name. Business is growing despite the economic recession. Coworkers are great. Never have to work weekends; overtime is uncommon.

Cons

Collaboration between divisions is non-existent. Level of training received is on the low end. Turnover is higher than average. Take way too long to hire new employees because the expectations are unrealistic. Owners are very loyal to long tenured workers who don't want to conform to the new way things are done. Hourly employees are second class citizens here.

Pros

Fairly secure job environment, nice coworkers. Has a lot of potential in the future.

Cons

Disorganized, not enough training for new or existing employees. They lag in competitive pay for long term employees and are getting to the point that earning a bonus is nearly impossible. Bad communication within the company and most communication is negative based. No tuition reimbursement unless you are upper management. No opportunity for advancement for folks in the field.
