Great colleagues

Pros

Smart, hard working colleagues, plenty of opportunities for learning and growth.

Cons

Extremely “woke” culture that sometimes overshadows the day to day work. Very heavy workloads, this is a place that can cause burnout for those seeking work-life balance. US health coverage is very expensive and does not have great coverage. If you or your spouse or child have a chronic health issue, the insurance costs will break you unless you have a secondary source.

Pros

Great tools to help you do your work, strong middle mgmt, flexible work locations and hours, agile and responsive to customers, strong deliverables, good reputation among customers.

Cons

Constant change in systems, processes, & organization, limited opportunity for advancement unless switching roles/teams, tiny raises that don't keep up with inflation, complex matrixed organization making it difficult to know who to talk to or how to resolve problems

Thank you for leaving your review. With the business world changing constantly and so rapidly, virtually every established business feels the imperative to continuously improve and innovate. Leaders and employees across our business work hard to figure out how to best and strategically address the genuine needs of our customers and partners globally. Compensation is always a hot topic in any industry. Here at Elsevier, we benchmark our salaries externally, we use a general benchmark to ensure we stay competitive.
