Pros

Some wonderful colleagues; good mission; nice offices.

Cons

Customers come last. Employees are a close next-to-last. This is a company by and for senior management. No idea how this business model can be maintained. It will be interesting to check back in 5-10 years.

The people are great but the bureaucracy can kill you.

Pros

The amazing colleagues you're guaranteed to have, the benefits, and location in the city.

Cons

Despite a motto of transparency - most things are opaque at Elsevier. Additionally, the core focus is a revenue goal - not the customers or employees - the general work ethic is to stay until the work is completed pitting individuals against each other and creating a caustic environment.
