Pros

Get to be around educated people on a regular basis. As a sales rep, you are almost always welcomed into faculty offices. Well known in the industry and at the forefront on technology as far as nursing education is concerned.

Cons

No job security, rule by fear. As a result of being "at the forefront" with technology, there are frequent failures which make it difficult to maintain good customer relations. Trust can be an issue. They will forgive you once, but the second time can be a bit harder. VERY high workload and upper management has a "sales reps are just lazy" mentality. Emphasis on documentation rather than action. No system for fast documentation in place. Need much smaller territories and/or fewer products.

Pros

A majority of the employees' friendly attitude make this a casual and fun working environment. The employee benefits are reasonable.

Cons

Opportunity for advancement is scarce unless you're willing to relocate. Different departments follow different rules set by each department supervisor; employees not treated equally.
