Pros

There is room to grow for new RN's here. A good attitude is valued over job experience. If you are have good customer service skills, you can get a job. You are in a union here and get fair representation with CNA.

Cons

There are almost all new Directors here in addition to a new Chief Nursing Officer (head of all the directors) in addition to a Chief nursing Executive (head of all the CNE's over three hospitals and a hospice) just quit and everyone has something to prove. Do not get on their radar or they will get ride you until you quit. Very much favoritism.

They have good employee retention. The employees on each floor work well with each other, and provide support when needed.

Cons

Not enough staff members to take on the overload of patients. Minimum room for growth within the hospital. They don't like giving overtime, period.

Friendly atmosphere everyone likes to help, sense of caring for patients is greatly encouraged in all departments. CEO is always communicating with staff.

Cons

Low pay, cut back in benefits, to many chiefs and not enough workers to need work deadlines. No room for advancement
