Pros

This is the most flexible place I've worked at. They are serious about work/life balance and providing employees with growth opportunities. There are so many great people to work with because they know how to hire talent. Management encourages a positive environment with actions, not just words.

Cons

There's the occasional grumpy client or boring task. That comes with the nature of the work.

Pros

This team at Emergent is just a great group in so many ways. Everyone is positive, cares about their work and is competent at what they do. There is no bickering or politics and everyone is willing to help each other out. It is also a very talented group that cares a lot about the quality of work they deliver. Other perks include: -time to learn and advance skills -very nice desks -the office is relaxed and casual -great location with walking to restaurants -free coffee & pop -ping pong -decent cafeteria -good pay & benefits

Cons

The pace is quick and sometimes you juggle more than one project at a time so it's not for everyone.

Pros

The company culture is all about delivering value to clients, building cool software and continually learning new things. We get to use the latest tech, work on lots of projects and work directly with clients. We can also spend a significant amount on self-directed training. The benefits are quite good with dependent healthcare included, dental, vision and group life too.

Cons

The coffee is pretty bad.

Thanks for your review. Yes, Emergent Software sponsors 100 hours of career/skill building activities each year for all employees. This time can be spent on training, attending conferences, researching new tech, building proofs of concept for some cool idea you have, or other activities that build skills related to your role here at Emergent. Our team is our greatest asset (cheesy, but true), and this is one easy way we can invest in strengthening our team over the long-run.
