The upper management is struggles to put forward the resources necessary for recruiting. The well-established programs thrive, but new programs are very difficult to get established. As a part-time, hourly instructor you are paid for the hours you are actively teaching, but not for staff meetings and all the extra-curricular tasks like developing Industry Advisory Boards.

The Dean and the advisor were completely unsupportive of the department --to the point of giving students inaccurate information that could impact their ability to graduate.
