Pros

Emory Healthcare represents a Great Mission with outstanding Values!

Cons

Too many long term employees in leadership who are unwilling to be forward thinking and progressive. Stop doing things because " we have always done it this way" and try new avenues.

Pros

Emory is cutting edge. They bypass all in advanced knowledge of healthcare, research and surgery. Nurses also get shift differentials added to their base pay so their hourly wage doesn't fairly represent what they make.

Cons

Location. I, as do many other employees, live quite a distance from the hospital. That's not Emory's fault, just my biggest headache. Parking is difficult, as we have to park at a distance and catch a shuttle. This adds about 30-40minutes to each day.

Helping advance healthcare; being a part of something that helps the underserved in the community; working with (some) intelligent people

Cons

Way too many unqualified people who have advanced into leadership positions strictly on tenure; overall reluctance to utilize new technology (or any technology) by the old-and-in-the-way
