Pros

The city of Atlanta is a great place to live and has lots of wonderful events going on. The facilities are definitely one of the best in the southeast along with Georgia Tech and UF.

Cons

The scientific community and atmosphere here is not as good as prestigious northeast or California schools. The pay is OK but much less competitive than northeast. For science major graduates, there isn't much opportunities around, you have to apply jobs in other places. The culture in Atlanta is kinda layback.

Pros

Has a strong orientation to sustainability and commitment to the community

Cons

You can easily get stuck with a poor manager; there is no room for 360 degree feedback. If you are paid by a grant, you are likely to get paid way off scale, at a fraction of what the salary scale is for your field.

Pros

Emory is good at what makes money, law, medicine, business. the students are limited, thus you have plenty of resources.

Cons

Gym is too old, although the rest facilities in the PE center are actually good. Seems to be involved into controversial political issues like Dalai Lama.
