Pros

Educational environment, clicial expertise, flexibility, constant access to expanding education and learning

Cons

low salary, TERRIBLE traffic & parking at the main campus on Clifton Road. Without a PhD or MD, you can only go so far. PhDs are a dime a dozen (one even told me not to bother going to get one)

Pros

Great learning experience, working with people who care about the population, excellent for urban public health, hands on experience

Cons

Low pay, high turn over, can be bureaucratic, not much room for promotion.

Pros

The city of Atlanta is a great place to live and has lots of wonderful events going on. The facilities are definitely one of the best in the southeast along with Georgia Tech and UF.

Cons

The scientific community and atmosphere here is not as good as prestigious northeast or California schools. The pay is OK but much less competitive than northeast. For science major graduates, there isn't much opportunities around, you have to apply jobs in other places. The culture in Atlanta is kinda layback.
