Pros

If you were blessed with working in a good place Emory will be like a poor cousin. The only good thing here - you _occasionally may_ encounter top scholars doing interesting research. If your PI is not one of those - it's not worth coming here. Also, gym is good. Pool is good but hours are very inconvenient.

Cons

Pay is terrible. Promotions and salary adjustments is an uphill battle. Some say great benefits. Nothing great about them. Just mere package for the industry. Grads student/postdoc life balance is rather poor. Mostly depends on your PI. If she or he wants you to slave for 10-12 hours a day + WE Emory will not interfere nor advocate on you behalf.
