      Pros

      Great team, and I had free range to work independently, and was often praised as well as critiqued for my work. I enjoyed my team and my ability to change protocols for improvement.

      Cons

      Office politics were sometimes nasty, and there was a lot of gossip and rumors around the small environment, which I never particularly enjoyed. Pay was poor, but competitive for the area, I guess.

      Good in-network healthcare opportunities, good benefits, etc.

      Cons

      Certain offices/departments can be more relaxed than other offices/departments. Parking on campus is $55+ a month.

      Pros

      Emory University offers many great benefits to its employees, including great retirement plans, decent pay, and adequate vacation time.

      Cons

      One of the major downsides to working as an employee at Emory University is that it does not offer parental leave for staff. Staff have the option of using sick leave, vacation leave, and short-term disability benefits; however, there is no defined parental leave policy. This puts Emory at a disadvantage when trying to attract top talent.
