Pros

Good training environment in the sciences. Faculty are very approachable. Supportive environment with an emphasis on preparing students for alternative careers.

Cons

Wide range in faculty quality. Research cores are very weak and poorly managed. The culture is not entrepreneurial and these is very little institutional support for generating startups.

Pros

Flexible job, you can make your own hours and have a lot of freedom as to when you work. Fairly interesting to do and provided a great research foundation

Cons

Low pay. You ended up feeling like you were doing administrative tasks at times. Sometimes difficult to balance with actual school, particularly if your boss has deadlines.
