Pros

1) It’s a very rewarding job, and I love seeing the progress my clients make every day! 2) most of my coworkers are supportive, and my BCBAs are always open for questions and comments about program books and client goals.

Cons

1) the company itself does not care for the clients or employees, only money. 2) PTO is very hard to take, as new policies require an extended notice to take time off, and is very SLOW to accrue. 3) corporate and insurance companies continue to make changes to how sessions run which hinders workflow, requiring mod forms, conversions/unconversions, and lots of waiting, only to be chewed for unconverted sessions hours later!

I have truly enjoyed my time at ABS Kids and am grateful for the opportunity they gave me to begin my career as an RBT. The training was thorough, and the support I received while earning my certification helped me build confidence and skills. The staff genuinely care about the children they serve, and I had the opportunity to learn from experienced BCBAs and fellow RBTs. ABS Kids provided valuable hands-on experience, and I am thankful for everything I learned during my time there. I would recommend ABS Kids to anyone looking to start or grow a career in ABA.

Cons

As with many ABA organizations, scheduling changes and client cancellations can sometimes impact hours. The work can also be physically and emotionally demanding, particularly when supporting clients with significant behavioral challenges. However, these challenges are balanced by the rewarding nature of the work and the opportunity to make a positive difference in children’s lives.
