This company provides an amazing service to autism community and won a prestigious award for their clinical work. They are providing substantial, life changing help for children with autism and their entire family. There have high standards for training for the Behavior Interventionist that work directly with children. This company is growing substantially. Allow growth opportunity, you are able to move up with hard work and willing.

Cons

Training for the Admin staff is subpar resulting in high stress environment and high turnover. Company is in state of chronic confusion and chaos. They look before they leap and bring others over the cliff with them. I moved 2500 miles to open new office in North Carolina. Was given four days of 'training' while my boss, the CFO, was in town; two of those days consisted of putting office equipment together. Point is again- no training but was let go within two months of starting stating that it was beyond my skills set and they had a replacement. They set me up for failure. I asked for help moving back to Utah, they said they couldn't help me.

I have truly enjoyed my time at ABS Kids and am grateful for the opportunity they gave me to begin my career as an RBT. The training was thorough, and the support I received while earning my certification helped me build confidence and skills. The staff genuinely care about the children they serve, and I had the opportunity to learn from experienced BCBAs and fellow RBTs. ABS Kids provided valuable hands-on experience, and I am thankful for everything I learned during my time there. I would recommend ABS Kids to anyone looking to start or grow a career in ABA.

Cons

As with many ABA organizations, scheduling changes and client cancellations can sometimes impact hours. The work can also be physically and emotionally demanding, particularly when supporting clients with significant behavioral challenges. However, these challenges are balanced by the rewarding nature of the work and the opportunity to make a positive difference in children’s lives.
