Pros

Got to work with some incredible young minds and the sweetest hearts.

Cons

Unless you are willing to be taken advantage of, this is NOT the place for you! This job requires A LOT of driving and the compensation for all the driving is laughable. Upper management has clear favorites of staff and treat those who aren't a favorite terribly. Terrible policies that do not help clients grow, and are against BCBA code of conduct. Supervision is a joke and there several weeks that I didn't know if or when I'd have a supervisor. Communication is also a joke, was emailed about having a meeting with a "supervisor" and was brought in for a performance review which was pretty much a bunch of lies and false information. Again, if you are willing to make $17/hr under these conditions, I applaud you, otherwise steer clear of this business if you want to work with children!

Pros

I have truly enjoyed my time at ABS Kids and am grateful for the opportunity they gave me to begin my career as an RBT. The training was thorough, and the support I received while earning my certification helped me build confidence and skills. The staff genuinely care about the children they serve, and I had the opportunity to learn from experienced BCBAs and fellow RBTs. ABS Kids provided valuable hands-on experience, and I am thankful for everything I learned during my time there. I would recommend ABS Kids to anyone looking to start or grow a career in ABA.

Cons

As with many ABA organizations, scheduling changes and client cancellations can sometimes impact hours. The work can also be physically and emotionally demanding, particularly when supporting clients with significant behavioral challenges. However, these challenges are balanced by the rewarding nature of the work and the opportunity to make a positive difference in children’s lives.
