Pros

Cool programs, cool industry, allegedly performance based metrics, comfortable work settings. Flexibility it’s important for this company, so you must learn how to manage your time properly, don’t get distracted. In an overall it opens a few doors in the financial sector and B2B business, I’m grateful for that.

Cons

To succeed in this environment, it’s crucial that management and training personnel like you, as they control access to the better business opportunities (accounts). Unfortunately, the overall management style is toxic. They provide little support and show no real concern for employee retention or well-being. If you’ve had prior corporate experience, you’ll quickly notice how lacking they are in management skills, despite their expertise in the mortgage business. Without a strong foundation in mortgage and good accounts, it’s unlikely you’ll last long in this conservative industry. The training is disorganized and doesn’t equip you with the practical tools needed to manage files. It feels more tailored to underwriting than to the actual demands of a sales position, I don’t want to event mention how disrespectful the training personal is. Furthermore, the base pay is incredibly low, especially considering the complexity of the role—you’ll need to master around 10 different mortgage programs and navigate an internal system that frequently malfunctions. Even with hard work, much of your success hinges on the quality of accounts you’re given. Management controls this, and they distribute these accounts based on their trust in you, so building that trust becomes essential. If you’re not fluid in Russian, you’re in disadvantage. They give you plenty of snacks to keep unhealthy and attached to the place.

Pros

Good benefits including health, dental, 401k, and a paid volunteer day. Great company culture with an emphasis on engagement and team connection.

Cons

Training is presented as a longer-term ramp, but in practice there are early evaluations within the first few weeks that can impact continuation in the role. The environment moves quickly, with mock calls, presentations, and assessments introduced early on. It’s a fast-paced setting that may be a great fit for individuals who are comfortable adapting quickly under pressure and performing while still learning new systems. For others, it may be helpful to have a clearer understanding of how early these elements are introduced in the process.
