Pros
Higher commission structure if you have the sales to achieve the higher kickers. Although this is unlikely.
Cons
Here are a few. Keep in mind this is only a few... 1. Technology has outpaced this company in Canada. Nest is not compatible. There are systems available today that require no monthly payments for monitoring. Others that are much less expensive for the service. 2. Forget about having leads. Leads were disappearing faster than the water in the LA basin. If you are new with this company, expect to starve. You will make more money working for minimum wage. At least that would be a regular paycheque. 3. The acquisition of Protectron in Canada meant ADT Canada grew. However, Protectron remained operating as they were. Their sales reps do not get as high a commission as ADT reps. Instead of amalgamating with ADT, these reps remained on their previous commission structure, which is considerably lower than ADT's. ADT reps face a shortage of leads now. Coincidence? Not sure, but it smells. 4. Expect little to no help from management. Their culture is one of covering their behinds rather than getting the job done. 5. This 'outside sales' position is basically telemarketing. Scratch that. It IS telemarketing except you then have to babysit everything about it if you want to get paid.
