Pros

ADT has a slowly dissolving base of 'old-guard' employees that are generally competent and good to work with. Some positions at ADT allow limited telecommuting, depending on the manager. For salaried employees, it is rare to hear of a firing. Generally people who leave ADT are either laid off or leave of their own accord.

Cons

ADT's management lacks foresight and refuses to plan beyond the next fiscal period. They consistently pass up opportunities to save themselves money in the long term by investing in their important infrastructure. Without clear vision and leadership, they often fail to complete projects and then announce them as a success nevertheless, leaving a variety of redundant technologies in place with no clear standard.

Pros

I've worked for the company for 40+ years, I'm treated with respect and my efforts are recognized by my Director and other ADT leaders. They give me the autonomy to manage my department and value my experience and insight. They offer a solid benefits package. ADT leads by example with their cultural markers and ensures that rules and laws are followed. I love the collaboration I have with our other departments.

Cons

Obviously, we all want more money, especially given the prices of everything, it's always nice to make more money, but I've checked the compensation and benefits in similar positions outside of ADT and I feel ADT is paying a fair wage and when I factor in the benefits package, they are above average in overall compensation.
