Pros
They have a great business and services model and provide top-notch services to their clients, which include multiple leading companies in the worldwide agricultural products industry. The compensation is market rate for the area, and the bonuses are quite good. Upper management is well-connected within the agricultural industry, and is growing the company quite competently.
Cons
The cyclical, seasonal nature of a good portion of the work means doing the exact same thing, year after year. Programmers are treated with a lower level of respect than the client-facing account managers. Instead of being given actual supervisory authority, most officer-level employees on the technical side are involved too deeply in day-to-day technical tasks instead of being able to establish sound technical management practices. All-in-all, a very operational, crank-it-out type environment where technical and problem-solving skills tend to erode over the years.
