Pros

Incredible engineering talent working here. If you want to skim by because a “job is a job” and contribute only with “meeting expectations” this is not the place for you. CDI hires top A+++ talent who deliver 110% every day. You can absorb so much knowledge through your coworkers here- whether technical, sales, or other personal values. If you think you’re an Expert on a given technology or product, be prepared to be challenged by someone else who might be just a bit more knowledgeable than you. And this is great because you gain even more knowledge that way! There is a serious team culture here- everyone is aligned with common goals and collaboration is executed well. Great work/life balance. Transition to WFH (Covid) was seamless and immediate. Training is always available and encouraged, just as is internal brand and career growth. I’ve been working at CDI for 5 years and can honestly say I work each new day as excited as I was on Day 1.

Cons

Health benefits (medical premiums) have been a tad pricey but have recently improved. Perhaps with the company growth the premiums will continue trending down reducing the employee cost per paycheck. Not so much of a con as a request - 401k matching (even up to say 3%) would be amazing if anyone from management reads this review :)

Pros

Going from a toxic employer to AHEAD has been the best change for my happiness. Everyone at AHEAD is motivated, positive, and willing to help each other. I no longer dread logging into work, and even enjoy the days where I have to work a bit longer or go the extra mile, because I know it will be appreciated and I can take the time I need in return. Having unlimited PTO you don't get shamed for using is amazing. I've been supported in my efforts and have a lot of autonomy without micromanagement, which is a great feeling. Upper management really trusts you and trusts in the hire.

Cons

While being in a high-growth company is exciting, it can also be exhausting. Sometimes you need the "rocket ship" to take a beat, but there is no real lull. More company-wide time off would be helpful so that you can get a break where you don't come back to 50+ emails per day. The only other downside is that due to the fabulous employee retention, people stay in their roles for a looong long time. There are not a lot of opportunities for upward mobility as a result, from what I have seen thus far.
