It was a steady paycheck. Not much brain power needed to complete task. Opportunity to develop relationship building skills.
Cons
Promotions were based on seniority and ambitious performers. No, emphasis on management and people skills. There was a culture to promote within the "clique" and friends tensed to get favorable territories. Poor benefits package and low pay. Few opportunities for advancement in the field Poor communication to field employees from management. Work was redundant and boring, akin to working an assembly line. Innovative and out of the box thinking were not promoted
