Pros
I'm so thankful for this position at ALSO as it fits perfectly for what I need as an individual worker, able to telework/work remotely and there has never been any pressure to come to the office unless *I* want to come to the office in person. I feel supported as someone early in my career and given opportunities to learn and grow. I also know I can always count on my co-workers and supervisor to support me when I need it. I'm very impressed with ALSO's focus on the people we support and all of our employees. As our funding mainly comes from the government, ALSO leadership does a great job reminding people in power that funding for the services we provide needs to meet the needs of the direct support professionals in order to better support those in our service.
Cons
Like any non-profit, expect to wear a few different hats as the need arises and fair non-profit compensation.
