Pros
Aside from 4 or 5 very shady people, APCON has some of the greatest people I have ever met.
Cons
The employees at APCON are undervalued, and the CEO doesn’t care. I think he may actually like it. The well-being of his employees is the last thing on his mind. He doesn’t see what anyone brings to the table and believes everyone is replaceable. He believes that he is the only one in the company that actually does any work. In some ways that may be true. None of the employees can get any real work done because the CEO is always standing in the way and holding up any true progress. However, he is doing anything but work. He rules his company by fear, he yells at his staff and he throws temper tantrums when he doesn’t get his way. He speaks very inappropriately to some of the women in the company, but to him this is ok because he is the owner. The positive posts you read here are written by the HR department because they are recruiting to replace all the folks who have been fired or run off and don’t want potential new hires to know what this place is really like. The posts about communication being key is laughable. The only time communication is allowed is if you are supporting the CEO’s crazy ideas. Don’t think for a minute that having a different opinion than the “king” will get you anything but fired. Standing up for yourself and/or having a difference of opinion is not welcome and it most times will get you escorted out the door. The CEO likes to tell people he doesn't read these Glassdoor posts, but we all know that a man with that big of an ego can't stand to not know what people are saying about him. Apparently he complains to the HR department that these posts aren't true. He can't stand that people have figured him out and that we are telling the world.
