Pros
- Structured Flight Training (less work for the instructor) - Many different locations to hop to/from - Valuable multi-engine time (which will soon disappear with program change) - If you bust your butt, you'll make it through and get out to a better place
Cons
- Terrible Scheduling - Aircraft Availability (every aircraft on the ramp is "broke") - CFI School takes anywhere from 3-4 months with one DPE at KCRG who should have been fired a long time ago - Pay is around $7-$8 per hour for an instructor with a ground guarantee of around $1000, if you don't fly any that month you make the $1000 + change - Too many instructors are of the lowest quality, they floated through their ratings and now they're creating students who fail checkrides repeatedly because of their lack of knowledge and experience
