Pros

Aarons Sales and Lease provides decent compensation and good discounts for their employees. There are also good opportunities for advancement. You will get a good workout repossessing furniture.

Cons

Aarons will tell you in your interview that it is not a collections business. This is a flat out lie. As a management trainee, you will spend 7-8 hours a day on the phone calling delinquent customers. You will spend 2-3 more hours driving to customer's houses to harass them for payment or repossess inventory. The company does not care a lick about its employees. The bottom dollar is all that matters. There are good opportunities for advancement because of a high employee turnover and frequent firings.

Pros

All the people I worked with in the store were fantastic people. Everyone helps everyone else and doesn't leave anyone out to dry.

Cons

Management above store level were a nightmare. Easily the worst I've ever experienced. They would change goals often, sometimes within days of having made a change. They would make assumptions about what was wrong without ever actually being in store. They wouldn't speak to ANYONE below the level of a manager to the point of ignoring someone if they greeted them.
