Pros
Sundays off! The latest you will stay on a Saturday is 5:30PM! The bonuses (if you are reaching 100+ new customers and GAP bonus) can be very high, my highest commission check was 500$ and then a NCD bonus for 100 and a Gap bonus for 300 (total was 900$). In your downtime you can hang out with customers, decorate the showroom, build product, clean tables, etc. The sales process is simple, and once trained it is a very simple job. It is a good transition from basic retail and cashiering to something with more status.
Cons
TOO many chiefs, not enough indians. Besides the pt's (delivery guys) you are the lowest and most overworked position in the store. You're first up for phones, paperwork, and any customer who comes in to the store with little to no help from your sales manager or gm, even when it's slammed. The store size is very small usually no more than 8 workers total in a store so if you don't get along with everyone it's a very difficult time. Managers are all, yes all, fat and lazy and have a problem with getting off their fat butts to deal with or resolve a customer issue.
