Pros

Some flexibility depending on responsible position

Cons

Toxic environment especially for mental health Horrible environment for POC No career growth/ Very poor raises Below average-poor benefits/ No 401 K matching Poor Management Poor Onboarding / HR Support Poor Communication Short version of review: If you have absolutely no other options, accept offer here but make sure to have a plan in place to get another job asap. This is not a place to establish a career or grow in any way it simply serves as a "place holder" on your resume and nothing else. If considering a support role here do not accept, support roles are the most unorganized and bares the most weight of company consequences from poor decisions. Detailed Review for Corporate Positions: 1) Negligence for Employee Well-being: Accentcare is not a company that cares about its employees in any capacity and has a "cut-throat" nature when dealing with employees. This is one major reason for high employee turn over rate. When asked for tools needed to succeed on the job we were constantly told we could leave and find a company we like or dismissed. During my time there, I've seen them fire whole departments at once based on skewed metrics and poor decisions. In turn this puts stress on other departments and responsible positions because these types of terrible decisions are constantly made. One year they knew months in advance they would be eliminating a certain position and chose to fire that department right before Thanksgiving/Christmas. 2) Poor/Failing Organizational Structure: Accentcare has a terrible to non-existent internal infrastructure. Accentcare lacks basic processes and SOPs across the board which makes everything here painful/difficult to accomplish. One reason for this is there are several people in positions because of who they know. Sadly they don't have any knowledge or skills to perform their duties and they hide under/suppress highly qualified individuals who should be promoted into that role leaving them to do their job. There are several people "collecting a check" and performing no work while the great workers are rewarded with heavier load and no advancement until they are burnt out and quit. Major issues are commonly swept under the rug/ignored when flagged by diligent employees until it becomes a glaring nightmare. Review for Clinical positions performing/Dealing with Patient Care: There is a common tendency to be over worked with heavy load and under staffed. Little to no support and training is given.

Pros

Could drive in my car by myself, no one bothered me I could start my day when I wanted to

Cons

Company is money focused 45 min to 1 hr between patients. Back office scheduling did not care about your car time between patients. Never had orders or discharge paperwork. Patients not even discharged from hospital yet but placed on schedule with no notes or welcome calls . And then it was left up to you to figure out where the patients were. No credit for all of the back work you needed to do. Managers constantly changing every 5 months all the nurses quit no one ever knew what to expect paper work depended on new managers PTO denied all the time . Onboarding is aweful. Must I go on stay away. Double dipping made to keep patients on the schedule for the nurse even tho all they needed was PTO no msw all quit no speech therapy but that was was ordered substituted ot for speech therapy no communication. Staff never researched patients before accepting for soc such as patient has mental psychotic unsafe behavior homes unsafe you would go out to do an admission, find this and then get no credit for it. If you decide it that the patient was a non-admit you could spend an hour and a half or an hour at a patient's house making sure that they were safe and things were being followed through on 911 would be called and you would get no credit for this. They would just want to add another patient onto your schedule even though you had all the charting to do and phone calls to make ridiculous
