Pros

Willing to hire people with little to no experience

Cons

They don't really know what they are doing. Company is good at rubbing elbows and getting the "sales" in but the upper management doesn't know how to run a company. Running a company begins with taking care of the employees, not building a multi-million dollar "state or the art" facility. Acero would be a lot more profitable if they took care of their employees instead of overworking them into the ground. They need to stop building unnecessary upgrades to their new facility like a helipad and use that money to give back to the workers who put their blood sweat and tears into the company. Upper Management tries to swindle you out of the raises that are due to you so that they can put on a horse and pony show with all the new fancy upgrades... most of which don't make any sense. ie: why does a machine shop have a slippery $1million dollar floor made of terrazzo (basically like marble)? Who is that for?! Not for the employees because it is extremely unsafe for when oil drips out on the floor or when employees have to stand on that hard floor ALL day for 10+ hours at a time. Upper Management worries about the image that Acero is putting out there, but they aren't focusing on the bad reputation that already exists amongst the industry that it is a horrible place to work for machinists... I'm sure for everyone else as well.

Acero has been in business 35 years and our client retention rate in greater than 95%. Multiple Fortune 500 Companies have been with us the entire time. We do have a great reputation , no accounts payable and often a 6 month backlog – even in tough times. How the reviewer knows the profitability of the company is unclear but performance where Acero has experienced 11% compound annual growth since the year 2000 points to an upper Management that knows something. Our floor is not slippery, it’s the same floor that is used in the Airports – one that see s millions of passengers walking over every day, safety. It is commonplace for “unhappy former employees” to lay the blame at the feet of management but in this case we are not certain that this is actually a former employee. The tone and text is very familiar to the post written four days earlier. In that post the term “con” is used and in this post the term is upgraded to “swindle”. In either case, the implication for damage to our reputation is unjustified. We embrace the opportunity to promote our competitive wages, outstanding benefits and our state of the art facility. But now a great place to work and showcase our values is a problem? Why can’t an American machine shop have the look and feel of a European Formula One Team? Everything looking good and everyone on the same page. At no point will we ever sacrifice one for another. What makes us unique is that fact that our ownership has committed the resources for both a great shop AND a great workforce. The reviewer’s position is that the company find ownership that will take capital , forgo the investment in the facility, the equipment, the infrastructure, the tooling, the software and take all of that investment and give it to the employees. Clearly this is a unique point of view. Rest assured that Acero is consistently looking to continuously improve. We recognize and appreciate our talented workforce and we look forward to continue to grow with them.

Pros

I’ve genuinely had a great experience working here. It’s a private, family-owned company, and that really shows in how employees are treated day to day. The culture is welcoming, and the people I work with are not only friendly but also supportive and easy to collaborate with. One thing that really stands out is how much effort ownership puts into making employees feel appreciated. There are thoughtful perks like food trucks, gift cards, a bowling league, and other fun events that break up the routine and make the work environment more enjoyable. It doesn’t feel forced—it actually adds to morale and creates a stronger sense of community. The manufacturing facility itself is state-of-the-art, which makes a big difference in how efficiently and effectively we can do our jobs. The work is also genuinely interesting—we’re involved in medical device manufacturing that helps create products designed to improve people’s lives. It adds a strong sense of purpose, knowing the work we do is important and ultimately helps patients. Overall, it’s a positive place to work where you feel valued, not just as an employee, but as a person. That kind of environment can be hard to find, and it’s a big reason why I enjoy coming to work each day.

Pros

I have a job that pays.

Cons

Acero Precision has a miserable work atmosphere because of disrespectful and rude management. Employees here are treated terribly by managers who constantly look down on us. There is no respect for our personal or professional boundaries, and managers sometimes insult and yell at us in front of our co workers.

Dear Readers, This review is completely fabricated and does not reflect the reality of our workplace. Our two-person Building Maintenance team has been with Acero Precision for nearly ten years. They are valued members of our organization who consistently do an outstanding job. The statements made in this review simply do not align with the facts. Rather than relying on anonymous online posts, we encourage anyone who is genuinely interested in learning about our company to visit our facility, meet our team, and speak directly with the employees who work here every day. We are confident they will provide an honest and accurate perspective on what it is like to be part of Acero Precision. Unfortunately, anonymous review sites have become increasingly susceptible to false or misleading posts. In some cases, these reviews appear to be created to generate business opportunities for reputation management or consulting firms that later approach companies offering paid services to "fix" the problem. Whether or not that is the case here, readers should approach anonymous reviews with appropriate skepticism. Sincerely, Acero Precision
