Pros

Very nice and well managed company to work for. I can see very good chances for advancement. Super clean environment. They also do a lot of extra things for the employees monthly like food trucks, and team building activities outside of work.

Cons

The only thing I can think of is most employees are required to work 2 Saturdays a month.

Pros

Centrally located. That's about the only advantage about Acero. There once was an abundance of overtime, but that has disappeared.

Cons

There are so many things fundamentally wrong with Acero. Start with the non-communicative, dysfunctional owner. Followed by a long term production manager who has no real world experience in manufacturing and who will do or say anything to make himself look better. Add in employee morale so low it is deficient. And finally factor in false promises and outright lies by ownership and employee turn over that is so extreme it is incomprehensible. Ownership does not have a clue what happens day-to-day. They are fed mis-information and refuse to listen to other sources. This has contributed to the employees dissatisfaction and turn over. Product quality and on-time delivery ate an after thought. You will be outright lied to and not informed. The production manager is a long time employee with no fundamental understanding for his current job position. Additionally his moral compass is broken as he will do and say whatever he needs to make his position look more favorable. Customers are walking away almost as fast as employees. Do yourself a favor and skip this experience.

It is a real stretch to imagine that anyone who actually worked at Acero Precision would make these types of claims and predictions. The only thing we agree with is that the company is located in beautiful West Chester, PA and is easily accessible from Delaware and NJ as well as several surrounding counties right here in Pennsylvania. Facts are important. Here are a few to consider: Leadership absolutely counts and it has a cascading effect on the entire company and how it operates. Our CEO and leadership team directly impacts on the continued growth and success of our “brand” and the positive way we are perceived inside the industry According to the DOL Bureau of Labor Statistics, employee turnover is a challenge throughout the manufacturing industry in the USA. Over time we have made significant progress in maintaining a skilled and empowered workforce. At Acero Precision, we invest as much time into job retention as we do with recruitment. Better pay, better benefits, better PTO just to name a few of the many perks for our employees. Our customers consistently rated us high on satisfaction surveys time and time again. We have not lost a client in the last 10 years and our quality rating and scrap % is just 1.5%. In addition, we are working hard to expand 1st an 2nd shifts and fill production needs for a 3rd shift and weekends. It is standard operating procedure for Acero Precision to make available to the entire Production Team our daily dashboards on Sales/Open Orders/QA tasks and Labor Content. Providing the staff real time data is the only way to operate. No one is being lied to and no one is in the dark. It is not possible for us to be any other way. It is our core. A standard set by our founder and CEO. So we did more than survive – we have succeeded – and will continue to strive to get even better

Cut throat environment

Pros

There is the availability for gaining quick experience in such a fast paced environment.

Cons

The upper management promotes a very cut throat environment, promoting those that throw their colleagues under the bus. This type of environment creates a culture revolving around job security and lack of trust and team work. The CEO and his HR team is more openly concerned about the influx of money and the first impression view of the shop than their employees and the internal culture. Expect to be worked to death as explained in previous reviews, more time, more responsibilities without reward or mentorship, and don’t expect to have outside priorities such as families or a life, because they don’t care. Do not be fooled by the pretty stainless steel walls and shop uniformity, they will expect you to, like the machines, run like a robot. The internal metric goals are typically unrealistic, and, if hit or exceeded, questioned on an individual level. Again, forcing the “teams” to individually turn on one another. If you enjoy spending your days redoing and questioning others’ work, and cleaning and recleaning your space on a microscopic level, than this might be your Cinderella slipper, but you will be treated as so by the step sisters of management. And don’t expect any valid training, just to start out in a sink hole trying to climb your way out all while getting run back over by a semi truck.

The fairy tale references maybe be appropriate if this is just that – a fairy tale. We do agree that you will learn a great deal at Acero Precision (which is a good thing) and we do move fast to meet the demands of our customers.
