Pros

Not the easiest job but it’s worth it at the end of the day. You get to help people on a regular basis (even if you’re just doing your job). Plus the camaraderie I’ve built with my colleagues is something I wouldn’t trade for anything in the world. I feel well supported by management. I know they have my best interests at heart.

Cons

Tough skin is a requirement in EMS. You have to be willing to roll with the punches.
