Pros

The business seems to be firing on all cylinders, building a sustainable vision instead of only being reactive to the market, and really taking a hard look at how to grow a nourishing culture for employees. People can make a difference here, and opinions/observations are valued from every level. The business is changing and the team is rebuilding the company from the inside to think more like a nimble startup than like a 35+ year-old private company. Work hours are generally 9-5, which is very different from a 24/7 startup but an ingrained part of the culture here, making it a family-friendly place to work. Paul, the CEO, is a kind empathetic person, and an advocate for employee well-being. Many staffers have been here for 5, 10, 15+ years, which demonstrates something positive about Activu's attractiveness for employees.

Cons

There is more work than there are people, so it's a challenge to fulfill all the client obligations... a double-edged sword. This can lead to some long nights for some groups sometimes, and some people here have to travel A LOT, which can get exhausting, but they knew this when taking the job. There is also a recent history (several years ago) of some poor leadership—which seems to have been fixed handily by the time I got here—but that sting can be hard to heal in a staff that has such longevity.

Pros

Many of our team have been with us for 15-25+ years. Many of our customers too. I think this says something about our corporate culture and quality of work.

Cons

There is always room for improvement.

Pros

At Activu you can work from home unless you want to work in the office or you need to. Some of our employees have even moved to other parts of the country for quality of life or family reasons. This approach allows us to hire the very best, wherever they are located for most roles.

Cons

I can't think of any. There is mounting evidence that this is a win-win approach for companies and employees alike.
