Pros
-Great company culture -Great benefits -Flexibility -Remote work -Much of job responsibility negotiated with manager
Cons
-EAs are "linked" to their manager so limited promotions and salary increases -Only Exec Team EAs are granted the "Sr EA" title, despite years of service and experience - EA role treated as "only" a steppingstone to another career path, e.g. Program Manager and not a career in itself -No developed career path, barely distinguishable job levels, no understanding of how to be promoted -No ability to be promoted -EAs are treated like a 1950s secretarial pool where they are assigned Sr Dir and VPs instead of having a discussion about current workload, career path, etc. -Managers do not understand their EAs abilities, or possible job responsibilities -Managers do not understand that admins are eligible for bonuses, RSUs, etc.
