Pros
Flexible shifts Pay is good if you are part of the core four in a store Fun people to work with Bonus system for parts pros and GM
Cons
Low pay for part time employees leads to incompetent employees and causes managers to do more than they should for what they get paid. Having to achieve a sales goal on top of setting planograms, shooting outs, doing cycle counts, and other work that keeps you away from the counter. Hard to make sales when you are spending 15 hours a week away from the counter doing other work. Never get a weekend off. I have been with the company almost 4 years and have only had two weekends off and they were vacation. District managers will not let you run your store the way you want, even if it's successful. It has to be ran and the layout has to be what corporate wants. Hard to advance past Parts Pro. Company would sooner hire someone with management experience and no automotive experience from the outside than promote someone from within the company who has been successful. Next to impossible to call off if you are a keyholder because there is no one to cover your shift.
