Pros

Learning automotive knowledge, inventory management, people management and profit and loss control. Working with a good group of peers most of the time.

Cons

Where to begin, no work life balance for General Managers, so many added tasks and micro management that you cannot run your own store to be successful. No hours to keep store staffed usually only 1 person in the store due to having to send the others on deliveries. Constantly changing goals and focuses, every region is still ran differently. Upper management is completely out of touch with the stores, they would not have any idea what to do if they had to run a store on what the teams are given. Benefits changed in 2018 and are now horrible, the direction of the company being led by the New CEO is only driven by Wall Street and not a care in the world about the people in the field. Discount is a joke at 20%, people who buy online and pick up in store get better discounts. Pay to hourly employees is horrible 7.50-8 for drivers 8-8.50 for sales and it takes a act of Congress to bring someone in higher, you cannot get quality people at those rates and then expect who do get to over-perform.

Pros

A lot of schedule flexibility

Cons

There is a lot of favoritism/bad management, especially in the DC that I work in. (DC-41)

Pros

Some good employees at the Store lvl

Cons

Everything else. Corporate violates HR laws daily. HR sweeps all under rug. You will regret working for this company. Pay is terrible, McDonald's pays more..... Required 50 a week for GMs. More like 60. You have been warned
