Pros

They have direct deposit and close on Christmas Day.

Cons

This is not a job for professionals or for people who enjoy operational management. If you are looking for a management job, this is only a starter job. Working here at any level below DM is a job selling car parts. If that is your thing, and you hate your family, I encourage you to apply. The company is entirely too knee jerk. They seem to want to do anything that they can to make life miserable for GM's. In our region, GM's who aren't achieving the unrealistic sales targets are required to work 6 11 hour days per week. Want a cost of living raise more than once every 5 years? Well, for most people that work at AAP, that is just too bad.

Pros

A lot of schedule flexibility

Cons

There is a lot of favoritism/bad management, especially in the DC that I work in. (DC-41)

Pros

It’s a pretty easy job, very fun people to work with. Hours as a driver are pretty consistent.

Cons

The pay isn’t great. It would be nice if the drivers were making at least $17 or $18 an hour. Also benefits don’t extend to health insurance only dental and vision if you are only considered part-time. Anybody that isn’t the GM, CPP, and RPP are considered part-time, regardless of the hours you get.
