Pros

Enjoyable work in the automotive field.

Cons

Your forced to buy your own uniforms and expected to install batteries ,wiper blades and dump used oil. Long hours for management Forced to remember policies and info every week with their "GAMEPLAN" Customers EXPECT you to be a mechanic due to the amount of FREE we are expected to due especially in the rain or snow. General Managers are "puppets" to upper management. No matter how long you have been with the company, your kind of stuck where you are for awhile because they tend to hire people with no experience as opposed to promoting from within. Raises only once a year-if you get one at all!! If you have a power hungry store manager and a DM that backs him up, you really have no one else to turn to because upper management just looks at the numbers and as long as your doing your numbers everything is swept under the rug.Note to DM's- the store manager does NOT make the sales. He has a team of people that he depends on that don't seem to get recognized.

Pros

A lot of schedule flexibility

Cons

There is a lot of favoritism/bad management, especially in the DC that I work in. (DC-41)

Pros

It’s a pretty easy job, very fun people to work with. Hours as a driver are pretty consistent.

Cons

The pay isn’t great. It would be nice if the drivers were making at least $17 or $18 an hour. Also benefits don’t extend to health insurance only dental and vision if you are only considered part-time. Anybody that isn’t the GM, CPP, and RPP are considered part-time, regardless of the hours you get.
