Pros
Nice Co-Workers, OK employee discount. An acceptable job ONLY if you need supplemental income, limit yourself to 20 hours or less and you wont be aggravated.
Cons
Every last one of these stores hires at minimum wage and in NY this company is trash because of it. We're surrounded by places that are paying $2-$5 more per hour, people with automotive experience are only worth a quarter or 50 cents an hour MAX. The job has a STEEP learning curve with the endless amount of training that you'll never absorb and a million different APEX catalog functions you'll need to remember. Stores are being run on a skeleton crew, GM's are salaried and are basically working for peanuts because they're working 60+ hours a week. The prices are AWFUL, even after offering 10% to people I get laughed at on a daily basis, $6 for washer fluid the gas stations sell for $3, $12 quarts of oil I can buy for $6 at dollar general. I've met a handful of people that have quit after giving this place YEARS and they've only made a couple dollars more than minimum wage or are at minimum wage. Oh and we cant take lunch breaks or 15 minute breaks because it would stress the other person out at the counter, having to juggle transfers, cashing, online orders, phone calls, check engine light and battery tests...enough to drive anyone crazy.
