Pros

- You get a 20% discount on anything in the store. - The work is relatively easy. I have a pretty awful team in my store, so I am usually working much harder than everyone else, but the work is still easy compared to a "real" job. - It's not terribly difficult to get to 40 hours (full time). - It's a corporation. This is more of a con, however it is fairly difficult to be fired from any sort of corporate owned company. This is a huge pro for lazy folk. - At least in my store, my boss is a pretty cool guy, and the people I work with are usually a joy. - Great vacation hours. Any full time member gets vacation, and it is mostly based on position. - Delivery drivers and keyholders get 56 hours per year to use for the first year, then 88 hours to use from year 2 - 7. After that they get 126 (or somewhere around there). - Store level management get the same hours, just in quicker increments. - In my store, my manager is very good with schedule's. I need Wednesdays off, and every week he makes it happen. I also took an entire week off using vacation, and outside of getting a little lippy with me throughout the week, he made it happen.

Cons

- While 20% discounts are great, there are plenty of online coupon codes that grant you higher discounts. - There is rarely room for advancement without moving. I literally can not move above my position of Keyholder without someone above me dying, leaving, or also being promoted (and they have the same obstacle to overcome). - I make $8.20 an hour. When I started as a part time delivery driver, I made $8. The "promotion" to Keyholder granted no raise. It was simple an advancement in responsibility. I now do the job of everyone below the highest in store management, and make the least amount in my store of 6. - Raises are based on the stores sales as a whole. I am the only person in my store to hit his/her sales goal for the year, and I beat it by a pretty big margin. I still do not get a raise because our commercial sales were so low, it dragged the entire store down. - On top of not being found worthy of even a .25c raise, people who start at my store in part time zombie positions usually make close to a dollar more than I do. My upper management tells me he has no control over starting wages, or my wage. Mhmm, sure. - It is a corporation. You are simple a number to them. Sales are simply a number to them. You generally will not feel respected. - Even if/when you hit your sales goal for the year, your upper level managers will both tell you that you still need to try harder. You need to sell more "premium" products and engage with the customers more. It does not matter if people come in specifically for you and your advice, try harder. Oh, and don't forget, no raise either. But try harder.

Pros

Some good employees at the Store lvl

Cons

Everything else. Corporate violates HR laws daily. HR sweeps all under rug. You will regret working for this company. Pay is terrible, McDonald's pays more..... Required 50 a week for GMs. More like 60. You have been warned
