Pros
There are few things to be said here. The developers who remain are highly skilled and are very receptive to new ideas, and SOME of the product suite uses the latest and greatest frameworks.
Cons
If you are reading this, you are probably thinking about applying to-- or taking a job from-- this company. Do not. Upper management is grossly out of touch with reality. The company is on life support. They laid off a huge portion of development (based on salary and contrarianism, not value added, so don't expect to be compensated fairly), and the devs who were kept have been actively leaving. It is not a healthy environment. You might think, "Well, let me just talk to management, I bet I can convince them that--" no, you can't. They do not listen to developer input. Any issue that any developer ever brought up during my tenure died in the hierarchy of command (which is stupidly complex in itself for the size of the company). You will lose your passion for development working here, trust me. Oh, and people are horribly underpaid. Do yourself a favor and find a more competitive industry rate somewhere else. Not to mention there's no room to grow... there isn't a defined career path for developers. Also, half the reviews on here rate highly for the generous PTO. They don't have that PTO policy anymore, so ignore them.
